North East India Buddhist Conclave –Issues, Interaction & Initiatives, 3 –4 February, 2021, Guwahati, Assam India

Organized by: North East India Buddhist Sangha Council and International Buddhist Confederation (IBC).

IBC is world's largest Buddhist global body with its membership drawn from 39 countries and over 320 organizations, both monastic and lay, that include world bodies, national and regional federations, orders, temple bodies and monasteries and international organizations, institutions etc.


IBC has been actively working on preservation and development of Buddhist tangible and intangible heritage in India the land of origin of Buddha Dhamma. IBC and its member bodies have also initiated various programmes and initiatives for prevalence of Buddha Sasana. It is also establishing scholarships for students from other countries Buddhist studies in India and intends to establish fund for Buddhist Indian students to study abroad as well.


Our motto – “Collective Wisdom United Voice” amplifies our aim for bringing together Buddhists all over on common platform the world to put forth Buddhist perspective in global discourse on issues of Buddhist and global concerns.


IBC plans to organize North East India Buddhist Conclave – Issues, Interaction & Initiatives on 3rd and 4th February, 2021 in Guwahati, Assam.


At the 2 day’s conclave:-


a) We intend to deliberate on the need of identification and preservation of Buddhist Heritage sites in North East India

b) Issues and challenges before the Sangha and Buddhist Communities in North East India

c) Collective Celebration of Buddhist events

d) Establishing a network of Buddhist Organizations in North East India and collaborations with Buddhists communities in India and abroad.
