Thripitaka Pirith Chanting by 48 Bhutanese Buddhist monks

The Bhutanese Buddhist monks walking in procession to the hall to chant Kanjur Pirith yesterday morning.

The Thripitaka Pirith Chanting by 48 Bhutanese Buddhist monks to invoke blessings on Sri Lanka, its people, and the Government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa commenced yesterday (12th Feb. 2020) morning at the Manelwatta Nagananda International Buddhist Centre in Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

The King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck assisted in making this event a success thereby strengthening bi-lateral ties. Vice Chancellor of the Manelwatta Nagananda International Buddhist Centre Ven.Bodagama Chandima Thera said Chief Incumbent of the Bodh Gaya temple Ven. Dr. Dodangoda Rewatha Thera and former Speaker of Bhutan Dasu Pasan Dorji coordinated in making this event a success.
