After an arduous journey marked by several ups and downs, the IBC today stands strong reaching out to the global Buddhist community in every way possible and holding numerous events spanning different facets of relevance to Buddha Dhamma. The IBC came into existence on Nov 02, 2012 and in order to mark the 11th Anniversary on this day, Team IBC decided to celebrate the occasion in a humble way by rekindling memories from the days of its origin by paying respect to Ven. Lama Lobzang, the founder and Working President of IBC.
Ven. Lama Lobzang’s contribution to the creation and sustenance of IBC as also ensuring a global outreach for the organization has been tremendous. Team IBC thus visited the Asoka Mission nestled in the forests around the famous monument, Qutab Minar, which is the abode of Ven. Lama Lobzang. The Asoka Mission has been doing exceptional work in facilitating large number of cancer patients from Ladakh in undergoing treatment at premier hospitals in New Delhi.
It was indeed a rare opportunity for Team IBC to interact with Ven. Lama Lobzang and share some quality time with him. The high point of the evening was to watch Ven. Lama Lobzang with brightly lit eyes cut the cake marking the celebrations at the Asoka Mission. One could see the pride in his actions in witnessing the organization so successful and stable today. There could not have been a better place than the quiet and serene surroundings of the Asoka Mission to mark this occasion.
