The International Buddhist Confederation is participating in the Global Spirituality Mahotsav from 14-17 March 2024.

Background

To honour India's unique role and contribution in inspiring spiritual pursuits globally, Ministry of Culture is organizing the Global Spirituality Mahotsav-2024 as a special initiative in this auspicious Amrit Kaal at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad, Telangana from 14-17 March 2024.

The summit will witness the esteemed presence of the President and Vice President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu and Shri. Jagdeep Dhankhar respectively, on March 15 and 16. Notable spiritual leaders, including Chinna Jeeyar Swami of Sri Vaishnavism, Bodhamayananda of the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, and Rev. Daaji of Heartfulness & President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, announced the event's significance at a press conference in Hyderabad.

The theme of the Mahotsav, "From Inner Peace to World Peace" highlights the solution for multiple conflicts we face in various aspects of our lives and emphasizes the need to resolve internal conflicts to achieve lasting global peace. Peace is the most fundamental human pursuit, and the crucial element missing from the global puzzle of well-being. It is the foundation upon which we build a harmonious world, resonating with the theme of "From Inner Peace to World Peace" at the Global Spirituality Mahotsav.

Renowned organizations such as the Ramakrishna Mission, The Art of Living Foundation, The International Buddhist Confederation, Isha Foundation, and many others will come together to make this event a success. The summit will serve as a platform for spiritual leaders to discuss and collaborate on promoting peace and harmony globally
