During the event, Dr. Chandan Kumar, a Research Associate at the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) in New Delhi, made a presentation on his research on Kashmir's Role and Positioning in the spread of Buddhism, focusing on its historical significance.

The three-day conference featured presentations on a range of topics exploring different facets of the Buddha's life within the East Asian context. Park, Prof Basanta Bidari, Prof Kyungrae, Prof Yasassi Panahaduwe, Prof Jahyun Kim, Prof Eng Jin Ooi, Prof Pram Sounasamut, and Prof Yushuang Yao shared insights on diverse topics related to Buddha's life, teachings, and cultural impact.

One of the highlights of the conference was a carefully planned field trip to Tilaurakot and Lumbini, allowing participants to explore the sacred sites associated with the Buddha's early life. This immersive experience provided a deeper understanding of the connect between the historical and spiritual roots of Buddhism.

The conference emphasized the shared dedication of international scholars to unravelling the profound teachings encapsulated in the life story of Siddhartha Gautama.
